In 2013 Australian New York City resident Yael Stone was the inmate playing "Lorna" Morello as part of Orange Is the New Black. Yael has a qualification from NIDA. Yael, despite her young years, has had the privilege of learning from one of Australia's best storytellers. Yael is well-known as an actor throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael made New York City her home following she was a part of the Brooklyn Academy of Music produced the critically-acclaimed production. Yael was co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery is a Bushwick, Brooklyn studio, The Cannery is a place to promote new creativity, creative writing and innovative projects, and supports the growth of writers in their teens.
