Meredith Salenger

Salenger was born and raised in Malibu, California. Salenger loved performing for her parents and close friends while she was young. In the midst of her eight years old Her mother took her to her very first class in acting. In the film directed by John Huston Annie, she played the role of a minor character in which she was described as being a "singing and dancing orphan". Salenger has also appeared in a range of commercials on television. Salenger's first starring role was part of The Disney movie The Journey of Natty Gann which starred John Cusack and Ray Wise The film was the first US movie to win the coveted gold prize from the Moscow Film Festival. Additionally, she was awarded "Best Female Actress in a drama" in the Youth in Film Awards in recognition of her role as the fun-loving Natty. When she was 18 she starred in another four films, among them A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. Following that, she relocated to Harvard in order to continue her studies.
